River’s Edge Chorale: Fall 2019 Registration Coming Soon!


 

Rehearsals for the Spring begin Tuesday, April 9th!  
We will host Open Rehearsals on Tuesday, April 9 (Hudson High School) and Tuesday, April 16 (First United Methodist Church in Hudson).
Open rehearsals are a perfect opportunity for potential new members to come check out the chorale!  There are no auditions!
 
There will be 10 rehearsals and 2 performances this season:

Rehearsals will take place between 7:30 pm and 9:15 pm.  Most rehearsals take place at Hudson High School, but there are a few that will take place at the First United Methodist Church in Hudson.

The Chorale will be performing at ArtsFest Hudson on Saturday, May 4th and at the REAA Artist Appreciation Concert on Wednesday, June 12.

The Chorale will be preparing a variety of Disney favorites from Aladdin, The Little Mermaid, Newsies, Mary Poppins Returns, and more!

About the Chorus:

The River’s Edge Chorale is a Community Chorus open to all area singers 8th Grade and older.  There are no auditions for this group.  New singers are encouraged to attend our open rehearsals at the beginning of each season to see what we are about.

The Chorale typically performs two time a year; early December and mid June.

Music Director – Lisa Schliker

Lisa graduated with honors from the Hartt School at the University of Hartford with a degree in Music Education in 1994. She has been directing the River’s Edge Chorale since the Fall of 2016.  Lisa has been the Music Director at the First United Methodist Church in Hudson since the fall of 1996. Lisa has sung in several choruses throughout the years, including the Acton Community Chorus, Worcester Chorus, and the A Capella Singers of Natick, MA.  Lisa also directed the Marlborough Community Chorus in the late 1990s.  Lisa also directed the River’s Edge Youth Chorus between September 2014 – June 2016.  Lisa also teaches private voice lessons to both children and adults.  She is currently teaching Voice lessons for the River’s Edge School of Music.

Lisa also served as the REAA BOD President for the past three years.  She stepped down from the board, but she will continue to serve as a Consultant for the board.

Lisa is employed full time at TJX corporation in Marlborough, MA where she works as a Continuous Improvement Partner within the IT department. She holds a Certificate in Database Design and Administration from Northeastern University and she is a certified Master Black Belt in Lean Six Sigma.

In her spare time, Lisa enjoys golfing with her husband and teaching Indoor Cycling classes.
