Hudson Afterschool Band Lesson Program

Students 4th Grade and up in the Hudson Public Schools band program take private and group lessons coordinated through the arts alliance.

Art in the Hall

A quarterly show featuring a members artwork in the Hudson Town Hall.   Exhibits run for 3 months.

The Art of Painting

A Celebration of the ancient artform of painting.

Arts Classes

With three sessions during the school year of Arts Afterschool, and a flexible schedule of Summer Arts classes, Students from 1st grade up can learn a variety of art forms from acting to drawing and painting.

The Best of Winter

The Best of Winter is the most recent visual art exhibit to be added to the roster of year-round shows. This non-juried show is open to all artists and mediums.

Celebrating Youth Art

The storefront windows of businesses along Main Street in Hudson Center get a little brighter from this annual display of student artwork (formerly known as Youth Art Too!). The Arts Alliance organizes this display of works from students K-8 attending Farley, Forest Aveue, Hubert Kindergarten, JFK Middle, Mulready, and St. Michael, as well as  Arts Afterschool.

Fall Juried Art Exhibit

A juried exhibit is held each fall, with four categories: Painting, Photography, Drawing and Prints, and Three Dimensional/Mixed Media.

Focus on the Arts!

During each school vacation week, elementary school children and families enjoy a performance, usually packed with audience participation and often preceded or followed by a workshop. Performers include musicians, drummers, actors, storytellers, puppeteers, and more.

Members' Art Exhibit

Our annual, members only art show, featuring art of all mediums on display in Citizens Bank every spring.

Photography Exhibit

Co-sponsored by the Assabet Valley Camera Club, this show features area photographers works.

Pro Musica Youth Chorus

Children and youth in grades 3 to 12 learn and perform music under the direction of Jan Patterson, director of the Arts Alliance and founder of the chorus. Rehearsals take place Monday evenings at Hudson High School.

River's Edge Community Band

Adults and experienced students in 8th grade and up who play woodwind, brass, and percussion are welcome to join this community concert band. Over 40 talented musicians, both students and adults, come from Hudson, Marlborough, and many other area communities to be part of this talented ensemble. Rehearsals take place Thursday evenings at Hudson High School.

River's Edge Players

River's Edge Players was formed in the summer of 2006 to meet our community's need for an auditioned theater group, offering a creative outlet for the adult community to express themselves through theater.   After helping to train thousands of children through Summer Drama Workshop, established in 1989, the Arts Alliance can now offer an opportunity not only for them to continue their involvement, but also for all who love theater, as well as local audiences, to enjoy the creative result.  

River's Edge Chorale

Announcing River’s Edge Chorale, a two-season Chorale program Tuesdays from 7:00 to 9:00 pm, Hudson High Choral Room, Paul Johnson, musical director, for adults and high school students who enjoy singing. There will be approximately ten rehearsals in each eight-week season including rehearsal with River’s Edge Band on the two Thursdays before the concert.  

Saturday Morning Discovery Series

This series of free family performances features some of the best entertainers in New England and beyond, including magicians, musicians, mimes, jugglers, and more.

Signs of Summer

Summer Drama Workshop

One of our most popular programs develops the skills of children and youth in acting, singing, dancing, and theater production. Children entering grades 1 to 5 perform for family and friends, while youth in grades 6 to 12 and college present high-quality public performances.
