To enrich lives and create community through the arts.
The River’s Edge Arts Alliance brings a full spectrum of arts programming to Hudson, Marlborough, and surrounding communities. We offer opportunities to experience visual and performing arts through participation and attendance, and contribute to the creative economy of our region.
Known as the Hudson Area Arts Alliance when first incorporated in March of 1991, the River’s Edge Arts Alliance is a non-profit organization, which provides quality, affordable events, exhibits and classes to citizens in over 30 towns. We collaborate with schools, art organizations, artists, and businesses to entertain, educate, employ, and engage citizens.
In 1997, River’s Edge Arts Alliance was given the prestigious honor of being awarded with The Commonwealth Award, which is the state’s highest honor in the arts, humanities and interpretive sciences. It is presented every two years by the Massachusetts Cultural Council to honor individuals and organizations that have made extraordinary contributions to the quality of life, education and economy in Massachusetts through arts and culture.
Today, the River’s Edge Arts Alliance offers a variety of programs for participants and audiences of all ages, including the River’s Edge School of Music, Arts in the Park Events, Community Arts Series, Family Fun Festivals, River’s Edge Chorale, River’s Edge Players, Summer Drama Workshop, and many Visual Art Exhibits.
We are supported by the the financial commitment and partnership of many individuals, organizations, businesses, municipalities, foundations, and an enthusiastic pool of volunteers that help us fulfill our mission and add to the quality of life in our region. We welcome new ideas to engage the community through the arts!
